Redefining medical suspense, one book at a time.

Great stories with interesting characters and surprising plot twists.

I write stories that feature characters (usually doctors) who are placed in situations where they are forced to confront their greatest weaknesses, and are compelled to question who they really are.

I grew up in the eclectic city of Trieste, Italy, home to grand coffee houses where great authors, such as James Joyce and Italo Svevo, used to meet, sip coffee, eat pastries, and talk about writing. I moved to the United States at the age of 14, earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Physiology from the University of California, San Diego and my medical degree from Loyola Stritch School of medicine. I practiced pediatrics for just over 20 years in medically under-served communities, from the South Side of Chicago to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas.

I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to study writing and story telling with Tess Gerritsen, Michael Palmer and Robert McKee, and completed The Writer's Path curriculum at Southern Methodist University.

My favorite authors are Elmore Leonard, Ernest Hemingway, William Goldman, and many others.
